The defender has been recalled by Stoke City as he prepares to return home.

Kidsgrove Athletic can announce that the loan deal for Max Murphy has come to an end.

The defender has been recalled by his parent club Stoke City as he has agreed on an early release from his contract with the Potters to allow him to return home to Ireland.

Murphy joined the club in August and made his Grove debut on the opening day of the season against Stocksbridge Park Steels. He went onto make eight appearances for the Grove in total and was an unused sub on six more occasions.

Everyone at Kidsgrove would like to thank Max for his efforts with the club and wish him all the best in the future.
