After two successful cup runs, it's the first time in over a month since the Grove competed for three points.
The hosts are managed by former Scunthorpe midfielder Steve Housham and currently sit 11th in the league.
Last time out they beat Loughborough Dynamo 4-1 in the league with four different men on the scoresheet.
Gaffer Ryan Austin gave his thoughts on the return of league competition:
“We’ve fell a bit behind as we’ve had our recent success in the cup but it’s nice to get back into the league and try and pick up three points.”
Austin also gave his thoughts on whether playing less games in the league would benefit Lincoln United or the Grove:
“It’ll be a bit of both really, if you look at the table they’ve played seven more games than us and they have had standout results against some top teams. However, they’ve also had some not so good weeks. We have to go into the game with the right attitude and start strong.”
Ahead of the game, the gaffer also spoke about Burton Albion loanee Ben Hart on his impressive loan spell at the Autonet Stadium, and a potential update on his future.
“He’s played excellently, he adds a different dimension to our team and I’m happy with the way he’s progressed. We had him last year and it was a shame he got injured and it’s no secret we've had our eyes on him for a very long time. I’m hoping we can get an extension on his loan.”
The game is at Ashby Avenue at 3pm.
