League Football returns to the Autonet Insurance Stadium for the first time since mid-September as The Grove face off against Frickley Athletic.

The Grove will be looking to atone their Buildbase FA Trophy exit at the hands of Colne FC and secure 3 points to kick start a climb up the League.

Frickley currently sit one place above the Grove in the table, however, have played 6 games more due to the club’s impressive cup runs.

The ‘Blues’ are currently managed by ex-Gainsborough Trinity manager Dave Frecklington, and have former Chesterfield man Jacob Hazel amongst their ranks.

Ahead of the game, gaffer Ryan Austin spoke about the disappointment of the clubs FA Trophy exit on Monday:

"It was gutting. We didn't have a full squad but that's not an excuse and it just wasn't meant to be. Bergin was apologising for missing the penalty but there was no need, it's just part and parcel of the game. But we're ready to bounce back this weekend."

Austin also spoke about our opponents this weekend:

"Frickley didn't start well but they've had some great results. It won't be an easy game by any means and if we have any aspirations of reaching the play-offs, we're going to have to start winning these types of games now."

As a reminder to supporters, those who attended our Non-League Day game against Wisbech Town will get a £2 discount upon entry.

As usual, our incredible offer of a fry-up, pint and entry to the game is just £10! ( £8 for concessions)

Otherwise, it's £8 for adults, £5 for concessions and £1 for 12-16.

Come on the Grove!
