The opening goal came in the 32nd minute for the visitors, Stocksbridge midfielder Brodie Litchfield put them forward. Litchfield received the ball on the edge of the box, cut into his right and curled the ball in to the bottom corner.
Ryan Austin substitutions in the second half were a turning point in the game, Dan Skelton replaced Rhys Thompson and Lewis Bergin came on for Jackson McKeever.
Skelton and Bergin both returned to the club this week after leaving the club due to work/personal commitments.
Kidsgrove came close to equalise in the 60th minute, Alex Lingard put in a dangerous ball in to the box and the Stocksbridge goalkeeper decided to punch the ball out but did not get enough power on it, the ball fell to Eric Graves who failed to head the ball on target.
