It was an evening to remember at Hollinwood Road as a rampant Kidsgrove side notched four second half goals to seal a convincing win over play-off chasing Mossley.
Rhys Thompson scored the pick of the bunch in what was one of the Blues' best performances of the season.
The midfielder saw Mossley keeper Ollerenshaw off his line, and got his just rewards for trying his luck from the half way line to put the Grove three up with time to spare.
The Grove opened the scoring after 68 minutes as defender James Butler headed across goal from a Lee Williamson corner, allowing Chris Baker to nod home from close range.
Just one minute later the Grove added a second, as lively substitute Will Saxon beat the offside trap before racing through to slide the ball beneath Ollerenshaw to double the advantage for Ryan Austin's side.
It was soon three in four minutes for the Blues as Rhys Thompson fired his spectacular effort over the backtracking Mossley keeper from 50 yards.
Rumenio was next to get in on the act, completing the rout after 79 minutes for a transformed Grove in the final forty-five, Kyle Diskin found himself in the area as he played the ball across goal for the Portuguese winger to convert from 12 yards, sending the Grove faithful home happy as a brilliant ten minutes saw the Blues put Mossley's play-off push on hold.
Next up for the Grove is the division's bottom side, Skelmersdale United as we return to Hollinwood Road this Saturday 30th March (KO 3pm)
