Match Preview: Wisbech Town vs. Kidsgrove Athletic

By James Houghton

by Rob Glover

Kidsgrove are back in action this weekend on the road as the in-form Blues visit Evo-Stik East side, Wisbech Town in the FA Trophy.

Grove will be hoping to build on their scintillating 2-1 win over Workington AFC as they face newly promoted Wisbech, who sit 17th in the table following just two wins from ten games.

The Cambridgeshire outfit have not had much luck in their first season in the Evo-Stik East division and will be hoping to bounce back following five games without a win. Ryan Austin’s Grove remain unbeaten in their last four matches and have lost just once this season.

Goalkeeper Krystian Burzynski returned to the bench for the Blues last night however Chris Baker, Oliver Jepson and Alex Lingard remain sidelined through injury. Austin himself returned to the eighteen and made a cameo appearance late on as Grove saw out their third-qualifying round replay.

Gary Setchell’s Fenmen prepare to lock horns with Grove on the back of a disappointing 4-1 defeat at the hands of a dominant Tadcaster Albion.
