Vale youngster Benns joins the Grove on loan

By Rob Glover

Ryan Austin has bolstered his squad with the addition of exciting Port Vale playmaker, Harry Benns.

The club are delighted to announce the signing of Port Vale midfielder, Harry Benns. The 19-year-old joins the club on loan until the end of the season.

The ex-Manchester City youngster has made one senior appearance for Port Vale and in 2018 turned out for Stafford Rangers in a similar loan deal, making 23 appearances and scoring once during his time at Marston Road.

Benns has been at Vale Park since 2014 and made his first team debut on the final day of the 2017-18 campaign in the final 15 minutes of a 5-0 defeat to Cambridge United.

Everyone at the club extends a warm welcome to Harry and we look forward to seeing him pull on a Blues shirt. Benns goes straight in to Saturday's squad for the visit of Colwyn Bay, which is incidentally an opportunity to meet a number of Stoke City Old Boys (More to follow).
